Post conviction relief. What is it? It’s basically a fancy legal way of saying that just because someone has been convicted, or even sentenced to prison, that doesn’t mean that the legal fight needs to be over. Many of the people that we help come to us after they’ve already been convicted, or even after they’ve already been sentenced to prison. When someone comes to us for help in that situation, we go through the record, we go through the file, and we look to see if any evidence wasn’t uncovered, or we look to see if the last lawyer made a mistake. If the fight needs to continue for you, we will make sure that everything is done to have a conviction overturned.
Just because a person has been convicted of crime doesn?t mean that the fight has to be over.
